Buy BookSaxon Math Algebra 1 is a comprehensive algebra math textbook. It is typically used after the completion of either Saxon Math 8/7 or Saxon Math Algebra 1/2. Saxon Math uses a spiral approach, employing incremental development of new math concepts and continuous review of previous concepts. This book consists of 120 lessons covering topics such as including signed numbers, exponents, and roots; absolute value; equations and inequalities; scientific notation; unit conversions; polynomials; graphs; factoring; quadratic equations; direct and inverse variations; exponential growth; statistics; probability, and more (see table of contents below).

Each lesson includes practice exercises and problem sets, along with cumulative reviews to ensure students have a firm understanding of previously covered material. The book provides ample opportunities for students to develop their problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities, making it a valuable resource for both teachers and students. Overall, the book aims to prepare students for high school algebra 2 courses.
